During the school year, in the event of a school closure, the maroon day/blue day rotation will not change.  For example, if school closed on a Monday, and it was supposed to be a maroon day, Tuesday will become the maroon day. We will continue to alternate blue and maroon from that point on.

Please see the Prince William County Public Schools site for bus schedules.
If you need to register your student, please call for an appointment (703)393.7608.

Our Creative Writing teachers will work collaboratively with the Language Arts teachers to enhance and enrich critical thinking and written response proficiency to prepare our eighth grade students for high school and beyond. This course will be part of the eighth grade schedule for students not participating in the World Language program at Marsteller.

"Be There Prince William"
The School Board signed a resolution designating November as "Be There Prince William" Month.  This suggests a simple way parents can play an active role in preparing their children for success every day.  “Be There Prince William” inspires parents to make ordinary moments extraordinary by connecting with their children during the daily routines of life. Visit to read stories submitted from other school divisions and for inspiration.
Here is the tip:

It's not an April Fool's joke.  The benefits of connecting with your child every day will last a lifetime.

No es una broma del Dia de April Fool.  Los beneficios de conectarse con su hijo cada dia duraran toda la vida.
Technology Supports Learning
We encourage the use of technology in the classroom to enhance student learning.  In such situations, the teacher will issue a technology pass to students.  However, at other times, to preserve the instructional environment at Marsteller, we ask that students store their cell phones in their lockers.

Students are reminded that all personal electronic devices are only to be used in the classroom with teacher permission.  Taking photos, posting on Instagram, Twitter and Facebook, and checking text messages and emails violate the PWCS Code of Behavior Acceptable Use Policy.
